Ka’ala Systems Technology “KST” Corp. Awarded Navy Warehouse and Communication Equipment Maintenance Support Services Oct 2018 – Sep 2023 at Camp Covington, Guam
The Thirtieth (30th) Naval Construction Regiment (NCR) maintains operational control of all Navy Construction Force Units (CFUs) throughout the Pacific Command area of responsibility in support of major combat operations, theater security cooperation, humanitarian assistance disaster relief, defense support of civil authorities, and exercise requirements. The 30th NCR maintains a high state of readiness to support operational plans throughout the Pacific Theater and provides engineering and construction project expertise in support of U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and Joint Task Forces agencies. The Units that report directly to the 30th NCR are the Naval Mobile Construction Battalions (NMCBs) who are also known as Seabees.
Warehouse support services include material management, supply and warehouse management, inventory of warehouse stock, storage of material, container support in compliance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards, and receiving and shipment of incoming and outgoing material including packaging of that material. Some specifics include, conduct full physical inventories of the warehouse on a quarterly basis. KST provides the Contracting Officer’s Representative with a full report detailing findings of the quarterly inventory which will consist of approximately 190 Containers and 30,000-line items stored in the warehouse and containers.
Maintenance support for communication equipment includes performing preventative maintenance on communication gear that is part of the TOA. KST provides life cycle support functions that are required to assure the TOA and Government-owned retrograde material is returned to proper turn-in-points in accordance with procedures as needed. Lay-out, assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair AN/VRC-90 vehicle installed radios using test equipment and machine tool numerical controls.
These test and maintenance standards shall be in accordance with the OPNAVINST 4790.4F. test electronic units using standard testing equipment and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment in accordance with standards set forth in the OPNAVINST 4790.4F. Identify and resolve equipment malfunction by working with manufacturers or field representatives to identify and correct malfunctions. assemble, test, and maintain circuitry and electronic components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electronics using hand tools or soldering iron.
